Weekly Yarn Along

Like Ginny of Small Things, two of my favorite things to do are knitting and reading. Joining in with her weekly Yarn Along.

I have been knitting these waffle weave dish cloth for a secret sister exchange at church .  The free pattern can be found at Deb's blog Homespun Living. Not alot of reading for pleasure, things outdoors are picking up around the hobby farm, but I always use Stormie Omartian's excellent book, The Power of A Praying Parent in my morning quiet time. Sometimes I am a bit foggy this early and this book has wonderful prayers and chapters pertaining to all the areas our children may struggle with. It is a powerful tool against an enemy who wants to steal our childrens hearts!

Don't forget to read the post below this one if you haven't yet. We have our fairy garden displayed and a sweet giveaway from It's A Blessing. Wouldn't you love to win this lovely bracelet:-) Giveway ends Friday May 6th!

  2. Hello! I have enjoyed reading your blog. I found it on a fellow blogger's page.I hope it is o.k. to comment. The dishclothes really nice. I have that same prayer book. I read it out loud every Monday morning during my devotion time. I ask God to cover my children with these prayers for the week. It works too!

    Have a blessed day!

  3. This is the second post I have read tonight that has encouraged me! My children are going through some things - as we all know the will - wish I could take their concerns, fears, worries away - even loneliness - but, God who loves them more than I can meet all their needs - will have to get that book!
    Thank you for sharing this,
    God Bless,
    Kathy

It has helped me to stay simple and focused on things for the children and my own issues. thanks for sharing and come visit the hootenanny. We had baby goats this morning and will have pictures in a bit! Lovely dishcloths! those are some of my favorite quick-knits for gifts or myself!

Thanks for stopping by Blueberry Cottage and saying hello. I hope you found your time here an encouragement and blessing. I read all my comments and answer your questions right within.

I really detest word verification, but I had to enable it. The spam was overwhelming! Sorry if this deters you from commenting, but it was necessary.

Have a blessed day!
