Crafting through a hurricane!

So, tell me, what do you all do to prepare for a hurricane? I spent Saturday crafting with some teens. Making tutu's to be exact!  Well , lest you think I was totally ignoring the needs of my family by not prepping for Sandy, I did go to Walmart (a place that causes me to hyperventilate on a normal day) and fight the lines to stock up on some necessities early in the morning. After I spent two hours knitting, of course.

Then back home to do some tutu making with a couple of my daughter's friends. Sorry for the out of focus pics, I took these with my camera phone.  Gosh I loved having a few older girls in the house! My daughter Sophie, who is their age doesn't like crafting much and these two gals love it!

Amber and Lydia whipped up a new tutu while I made homemade cream of tomato soup and chicken soup. See, I prepped for the storm. Gotta have soup with these kind of things.

Strike a pose!

On a more serious note, we are all hunkered down and ready if Sandy decides to show her strength. Plenty of wood, candles, soup and bread. We'll have a little prayer time shortly, to ask the Lord's protection on all those in Sandy's path. Stay safe, friends!

I really detest word verification, but I had to enable it. The spam was overwhelming! Sorry if this deters you from commenting, but it was necessary.

Have a blessed day!
